SUZUKI GT750 / TR750 WATER PUMP SHAFT GEAR
(Shaft not supplied Requires Pressing onto GT/TR standard Shaft)
This is the steel water pump drive shaft gear for TR750's / TR750 replicas or GT750's that have either original TR or our replica TR ignition covers fitted.
As the water pump drive shafts are all worn to varying extents the hole for the shaft has been made slightly small so that it can be honed out to a tight press fit.
The gear is thin so care must be taken to get the correct interference fit (0.02mm) or the gear will spin or crack. It is also critical that the gear is pressed on square.
We recommend that the gear be heated before fitting to the shaft.
Unless you are skilled or have access to a skilled engineer we recommend that you send us your water pump drive shaft and we will either exchange your shaft for one we have already finished or fit it ourselves. One of the shaft bearings can easily be replaced at the same time if required for additional cost.
