This thermostat is a straightforward replacement for the standard thermostat (except on the GT750/TR750 where it only works with our special magnesium water feed) and is a MUST for anyone going racing on one of these (or even getting more beans out of their road bike).
Road bikes run higher temperature to get through emissions regs, but to get more power you need the bike to run cooler (50-60C water) and for that the stat must open earlier.
