This is the small primary drive gear on the crank for the wet or dry clutch. The small (54T) wet/dry clutch primary drive gears are exactly the same, but must be used with straight cut gear for wet or dry clutch.
This gear is 54t as per original TR750's
Reduces power loss from side thrust at the expense of noise - straight-cut primaries rattle, it's part of the racing bike sound (especially when added to the dry clutch rattle).
Power increase from using straight-cut primaries can be as high as 15%
