This is a stator cup for use as a replacement part. Normally this part is very robust and is unlikely to be damaged in the event of an accident, but you may need to replace this if your stator is damaged.
This is the latest and lightest design with greatest cooling properties.
It is difficult to remove the stator without damaging it but in the case that this is desired then it should be pressed out from the wire side with a tube/pipe which bears on the stator core but NOT the stator windings between the stator cup and the stator windings. A cut-out will be required in the tube/pipe to accommodate the wires as they pass through.
