Please not that the RHS valve has a machine groove around the top for easy identification
To assist on assembly ours valves fit in exactly the same way as the standard ones, however instead of a dot on the tooth that needs to line up with the groove on the KIPS rod we have machined an angle onto the top of the tooth

We have made these parts in response to high demand for the part and now hold good stock of these parts off the shelf.
These long since discontinued items are now available once more!
Please note: Both valves are identical - the original Kawasaki parts had the punch mark indicating the valve position in different places dependent on whether they were 'left' or 'right' valves, the RHS has a machined groove near the top. This new batch of valves, fit as original, the cut tooth lines up with the groove in the shaft.
As you will see in the photo we have shown the valves with the bushes out so that you can see the punch marks, but the valves will not operate properly without the bushes in. The parts are made from EN24T as per the later versions (Steel), and should be cleaned regularly to prevent jamming and damage (this was always the case - and what led to them being broken in the first place).
When the control rod is fully in (low speed and off position) you should see the left valve open to the KIPS bottle and the right valve although it may appear open from the exhaust end will be closed at the cylinder end. If you would like to check this before reassembling the head then this can easily be checked by holding a bright light in the barrel with the piston at BDC.
