Available in a number of teeth options so that (together with a variety of choice of front sprockets), you can adjust the potential top speed of the bike as well as cruising revs per minute.
Remember less teeth on the rear sprocket = less rpm/mph
Typically one extra tooth on the front sprocket is the same as 3 less teeth on the rear. For racing purposes typically the smaller you can get the rear sprocket the more weight you can save.
